Dear MendMeShop,

My back is feeling better. Regular heating pads don't seem to work as well as the Inferno - I would assume due to their lack of penetration. The Inferno Wrap is of good benefit at this point. Thanks for a great product.

Dear MendMeShop,

I recently purchased the Inferno Wrap from mendmeshop and have been using it every day for several weeks now. I started seeing positive results the second or third time I used it. I'm not sure what caused the sudden discomfort in my shoulder, but when I first experienced it, I went on line and googled "Torn Rotator Cuff" After reading about the shoulder joint, I saw the information from the mendmeshop. Several years ago I purchased a similar device from your company for a knee injury.. I had very good results with the heat treatment, so when I saw the Inferno Wrap, I knew from past experience that it was probably going to work. The shoulder discomfort has gone, but I still continue to use the Inferno Wrap every day. Hats off to the Mendmeshop for providing such instant and positive relief.

I love the freezie wraps, and use them for hip pain. They work well at night to take away most of the bursitis like pain. The Mend Me shop has provided excellent advice and treatment protocol which has been invaluable.

More Frozen Shoulder Facts:

About 6 million people in the U.S. seek medical care each year for shoulder problems.

Previous shoulder injuries that haven't completely healed including buritis, tendonitis and rotator cuff injuries can lead to a frozen shoulder injury.

A healthy shoulder is the most versatile joint in the human body. It has a wider "range of motion," which means it can move more freely, and in more directions, than any other joint.

Many suffers of frozen shoulder people experience worse pain at night which can easily disrupt normal sleep patterns.

Frozen Shoulder will typically disappear over time without surgery, but this may take up to two years.

Stages of Frozen Shoulder:

  • Freezing/Pain Stage (6 weeks to 9 months): the patient experiences a gradual onset of pain. As the pain worsens, mobility of the shoulder joint decreases.
  • Adhesive Stage (4 to 9 months): the pain gradually lessens although the shoulder stiffness remains.
  • Recovery Stage (4 to 9 months): little pain experience in this final stage, as the mobility of the shoulder returns to nearly normal. It is typical for a recovered patient to regain about 90% of the range of motion they had before the injury.

If conservative treatments fail, your physician may manipulate the joint (while patient is under general anesthesia) to break up the adhesions (scar tissue). Surgery (capsular release) may be used as an option in prolonged and severe cases as well.

Dear MendMeShop,

I wanted to get back to you with feedback about the Inferno Wrap. So far we are very pleased with the size, light weight, flexibility and comfort of the wrap. It is very convenient the way the cord is set up. If one has to leave the area for a moment it is much easier now because instead of removing the entire wrap or unplugging the whole thing from the wall, you can just detach at the segment. I like the on/off switch, too. It is much easier to see which setting it is on. Everything about this new product seems more intelligent and user friendly. A lot of thought was put into improving on the old product. Well done to all involved!!!

Dear MendMeShop,

Thank you for spending time answering my questions and concerns on the Knee Inferno Wrap and wrist products and how to use them. I appreciate that, and I am impressed with your company's personal availability to personally talk with customers. In a fast pace, seemingly no care, 'all out for my benefit' mentality in our society it is refreshing to know I can go on-line and there are people doing business who do care for their product and the people buying them.
I went on-line to find help in treating my very painful meniscus and other issues Arthroscopic surgery on my right knee, that were more severe that my left knee issues had been, so I could find help in speeding up my recovery and get back on my feet again. Having had the same surgery on my left knee only 6 months prior, I was not able to recover as fast as my left knee had not yet fully recovered enough to take the full load of both knees. The Dr. said nothing about recovery only that I could not even put toe weight on my right knee for 4 weeks. So, with my left knee still in recovery this made life extremely difficult. So much so, I had to go to a wheel chair so I would not ruin either of my knees or my back which is suffering from degenerative discs. My knee issues stem from aging and over-use over the years. They are just wearing out.
I am an active person and was not going to consign myself to a wheel chair for the rest of my life. I had no access to physical therapy treatments in my personal situation. So, I took the bull by the horns and got busy finding out what I could do to help myself recover faster and get back in action physically. And I found your company.
I started my personal quest on Internet, which is all I was able to do physically at the time, and found your company, MendMeShop.com. I read all your info and was impressed with what I read and felt comfortable that you were genuine and were out to help me fully recover. The fully guaranteed refund was a plus to me so that I would not spend a lot lf money for something that I would be stuck with and as well did me no good.
You also had a personal way to contact your company to discuss any concerns I might have in using it. You also had expedited mailing so that I could have your product in a few days so I could get started in my recovery. I was willing to pay the extra mailing cost to get the product faster. You really came through on your end and I had my Inferno Knee Wrap in just a few days. That really firmed up to me that you back up your claims about your product and that you truly cared about me and so I could get onto faster recovery sooner.
After receiving the Inferno Knee Wrap, I was having personal issues in how often to use the Knee Wrap and so I called you to help me with this. I felt that the knee wrap was helping me, but I was finding that I could not use it to the fullest degree the instructions mentioned. You helped me and told me to call you back. From your recommendations, I started experimenting on my own to see what would work for me and I found a workable solution for me personally. Each person is unique and what works for one person may not work for another. So, I recommend not giving up and returning this product until you find what works for you.
Because my knee issues are so severe, it will take longer than I want it to, but I am plugging away and using the Inferno Knee Wrap along with stationery bike exercise and I am seeing progress each day.
Thank you for being there when I needed help in recovery of Arthroscopic Knee Surgery. I appreciate you and your company.

Dear MendMeShop,

I love the products and I can definitely tell they are making a big difference in my healing. I just wish I had known of your products even sooner. I was in a serious motorcycle accident back in July and broke 17 bones, had a collapsed lung, and had numerous twists and sprains along with a lot of swelling. I was in the intensive care unit for 7 days and then in the hospital for 7 more before I was able to go home. To make a long story short, since using your products my pain level has gone down immensely and the swelling is finally under control. I even take the Inferno wrist and back wrap to work and use it since I have a desk job that makes it possible. I am down to just walking with a cane now and will probably be able to get rid of that in about two weeks. I did twenty minutes on the stationary bike yesterday and walked for 1/2 mile on our treadmill. Within another couple months I hope to be back to jogging several miles every other day. The 4 Inferno Wraps and 2 Cold Cure products along with lots of prayers on my behalf have helped make the difference. Thanks again so much, and God Bless you guys for your products! Steve Brown P.S. Also, here is a little more about my status now. I just ran the Peachtree Road Race (a 10K event – 6.2 miles) in 9:07 per mile. That was back on July 4. I just ran a 5K (3.1 miles) in 8:22 per mile this last weekend. I truly believe the wraps helped me get that level of fitness back. Many people my age (55) don't even ever get in that kind of shape, let alone a year after a major accident with all the complications that I had. I still use the Freezie Wraps after running when I can and I still regularly use the Inferno Wraps before many of my runs and exercise to warm things up.

Dear MendMeShop,

I fell down on ice last March, hit my left shoulder on the ground pretty hard and stirred up an old injury that hadn't bothered me for twenty years. I was in a great deal of pain and tried everything I could think of that might help. I only found temporary relief from the pain. It wasn't until I began using your Shoulder Inferno Wrap that I truly began to heal and the pain slowly began to subside. After several months, I still use the Wrap daily to maintain the healing and progress I've made. I then also sought the advice of a physical therapist because in addition to the pain I used to have before using the Wrap, I was still dealing with stiffness and a very limited range of motion. After examining me, the therapist said I didn't have rotator cuff issues just muscle issues, a thing called "frozen shoulder". For seven weeks now I have received help from a massage therapist and am slowly improving the range of motion. I chose to work with her because her sessions include massage and stretching. A session leaves my shoulder feeling slightly sore. I use the Inferno Wrap afterwards and the heat I feel as it works relieves the soreness. I am sure using the Wrap also helps the muscles "remember" longer the right way they are supposed to feel and function. Combining the Wrap with massage therapy has been a winning combo for me! Do I dare confess...I love the Wrap so much that I will definitely buy another one. The Back Wrap will be my next purchase from you. I mean this whole-heartedly - thank you for the Wrap! I am also pleased with your customer service. Dealing with you was a pleasure. You really do care about your customers! I am delighted and impressed with your product and your people. __________________

Dear MendMeShop,

When I use the knee Inferno wrap consistently it makes a difference. I need a knee replacement but because of my weight issues I can't get the surgery. The wrap gives me much relief. I also tore my rotator cuff and had major reconstructive surgery and 1 year of rehab. Over the years I have stiffness and the shoulder wrap has helped to maintain range of motion. In addition, I have the tortoise shell for the back and I can't say enough. It hits the whole back up to the neck. Wonderful. My sister has planter fasciitis she used the foot wrap consistently for several months, now she only needs to use periodically. I love and use all the products I have purchased and would recommend.

Dear MendMeShop,

Over the past eight months I have been suffering from shoulder and arm pain. I just kept thinking that the pain would go away on its own. When I reached the point where I was unable to raise my arm over my head without assistance and forget about putting my arm behind my back. I decided that a trip to the doctor was due. She ruled out that I had an injury to the Rotator Cuff itself and determined that I had a soft tissue injury. Due to repetitive movement and heavy lifting. She suggested that I try physical therapy. With my work schedule and family obligations I knew that was going to be very difficult and I wanted something that I could fit into my schedule. So I began doing research on the internet for alternative treatments and exercises. That's when I found your product on the internet. I was somewhat skeptical as to rather it would perform as stated, but decided to give it a try. It was stated that it could take up to three weeks to feel results. BUT I am here to say that for myself it has done better. I have been using the Freezie Wrap for a week and have already felt some improvement. I can now raise my arm to just about shoulder height unassisted, and can now almost get my finger tips back behind my back. I make a point of using Freeze Wrap as soon as I get home from work to relieve the stress to my muscles from work and to keep the inflammation down. Now that I have gotten some of the inflammation gone I intend to incorporate the Inferno Wrap treatment to my regiment to just before going bed to aid the healing process and aid in a better night's sleep.

Dear MendMeShop,

I ordered this wrap after finding out I have a Calcium deposit in my shoulder which has turned to Tendinitis. The Freezie wrap is awesome and instantly takes the pain away. The only thing negative I can say is if you are right at a 40 size chest order the SM/LG (under 40'). I am in the process of exchanging sizes because I ordered the LG/XL (40'-48') and the wrap is bulky and very big. I am right on the cute off for 40' and went bigger when I first ordered and should have ordered the small.

Dear MendMeShop,

I am a retired Orthopedic Surgical Registered Nurse First Asst and I just want to say this Shoulder Inferno Wrap is wonderful. I have had adhesive capsulitis in my left shoulder several times. I am 67yo now and I have Arthritis, Lupus and fibromyalgia and I had bilat knee replacements in 2001. It has always taken about 6months to get back use of my arm and to get relief from pain. I read your information and was expecting it to take at least 6weeks to see an improvement. I have used it this short time since receiving it and I am almost painfree. Occasionally I start to feel a little ache and I put it back on before it becomes pain I have full range of motion when I could not brush my hair or fasten my bra. Again, I am so pleased and hope it helps others too. Jane P.S. I would like to encourage others to try the products and see if they get the same remarkable results as I did. I continue to improve with full ROM remaining and only occasional episodes of pain; As soon as I feel any pain, I use it 2-3 days in a row and the pain is gone. This is probably Arthritis as it feels different.

Shoulder Impingement Injury Specialists are Friendly and Helpful.

Frozen Shoulder Surgery and
Post-Operative Rehabilitation

healing your frozen shoulder quickly

Not every frozen shoulder injury requires surgery.

It's generally understood by doctors and surgeons, that surgery will introduce even more scar tissue into the shoulder joint capsule. This added scar tissue will be problematic, requiring intensive physical therapy and conservative treatment options post-surgery. If not dealt with properly, your frozen shoulder injury could end up in worse condition than before the surgery! This is why surgery is only performed as a last resort.

Most doctors, physicians and orthopedic specialists will recommend conservative therapy for early cases of frozen shoulder injuries (in the freezing stage) before considering surgery.

Some conservative treatment methods recommended include:

  • Rest - This is important for initial healing to reduce pain, swelling and inflammation in the 'freezing' stage of your frozen shoulder injury. Too much rest can also be harmful to frozen shoulder injuries because joint immobility of the shoulder (from frozen shoulder or some other injury like a rotator cuff tear) can actually cause more stiffening in the shoulder joint. This is why rest should be used when reducing initial pain and swelling, but should not be considered for more long-term conservative treatment.
  • Apply Effective Cold Compression
Effective Cold Compression = Treatment with a Shoulder ColdCure Wrap®

    Frozen Shoulder Cold Compression Treatment
Immediate cold compression (using a Shoulder ColdCure Wrap®) will allow you to manage your pain while getting rid of swelling and inflammation during the intial 'freezing' stage and while your frozen shoulder injury gradually regains movement in the 'thawing' stage. Using cold at these times will stop your frozen shoulder injury from getting worse.
  • Use Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) - You can use your own blood flow to maximize your rehabilitation, decrease recovery time, and boost overall long-term healing. Promoting blood flow to your shoulder joint capsule will help to soften up scar tissue around your joint, increasing flexibility and helping to regain your range of motion.
  • Physical Therapy - Surgery will never be performed until a doctor or surgeon feels that their patient has put effort into treating their injury with conservative treatment methods. This includes 4 to 6 months of physical therapy. If you haven't experienced any improvement in your condition during that time then surgery may be considered. Your condition may worsen if you undergo agressive physical therapy approaches that focus on forced or manual manipulation of your shoulder joint. This means your physical therapists will be trying to move your shoulder past the point where it 'sticks' or is 'frozen' in place. This can be painful and end up making your injury worse if not done correctly. (reference: 1)
  • Stretching - Stretching your frozen shoulder in physical therapy and at home will help you to regain your range of motion much faster than not stretching the shoulder joint at all. Stretching in many ways is the key to overcoming a frozen shoulder injury, and stretching can be made much easier with use of a BFST Wrap® before to warm up the tissue, and a ColdCure Wrap® after to prevent any return of swelling and inflammation.

Other Conservative Treatment Methods can be Risky

shoulder pain

In some cases, physicians may recommend drugs or pain killers like NSAIDs (non-steroidal anti-inflamatory drugs) to manage pain and inflammation.

The prescribing of pain killers isn't helpful for long-term healing of frozen shoulder injuries, because the pain killers will allow you to tolerate pain during your daily life. Since pain medication maskes the pain of the injury, it becomes much easier for your injury to get much worse because you don't feel the pain and push yourself beyond what your body is capable of doing. If you decide to rely on pain killers alone you'll soon see for yourself (if you haven't already) that your injury will get worse causing you to suffer with frozen shoulder for years.

Cortisone doesn't heal muscle injuries.

Alternative medications like cortisone injections will help only with symptoms and not dealing with the actual injury. It's designed to reduce inflammation by slowing down the blood flow to the area that is trying to heal your injury. Yes, you may feel temporary pain relief, but at the high cost of re-injury or your frozen shoulder injury not even healing at all!

"Medical evidence shows that cortisone shots can damage the surrounding tissue, fray the tendon and ligament tissue, and even trigger a rupture. Most side effects are temporary, but skin weakening (atrophy) and lightening of the skin (depigmentation) can be permanent." (reference: American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons)

Why Won't My Frozen Shoulder Heal?

Chronic shoulder pain and frozen shoulder injuries can take months or even years to heal.

Why are frozen shoulder injuries so hard to overcome? Why does it take so long to heal?

In two words - scar tissue.

The ball and socket shoulder joint is meant to be flexible with soft tissue surrounding it that helps support your bones to move. The shoulder joint is also surrounded by a soft capsule that stretches up when you raise your arm and hands down like a loose sac when your arm is lowered. When you have frozen shoulder, this sac gets surrounded by bands of scar tissue that overlap eachother. This scar tissue hardens the sac, and as the scar tissue conitnues to build up it clogs your shoulder joint.

Scar tissue builds up throughout the 3 stages of a frozen shoulder injury.

If you're suffering with scar tissue in your shoulder right now, you may feel the effects with stiffness, tightness, and weakness in your shoulder. Your shoulder probably sticks, making it difficult (if not impossible) for you to raise your arm up or hold it out to the side.

As you use your shoulder and force your arm movement past the point where your arm sticks, you start to damage this scar tissue. When this tissue is damaged, even more scar tissue will form to act as little band-aids on the joint.

Scar tissue is the MAIN reason why your shoulder injury just hasn't healed.

Scar tissue can form fast to bring together micro-tears in your shoulder joint, but working fast doesn't mean that the job's done right. When scar tissue forms it doesn't come together as neatly as regular (healthy) tissue would. Scar tissue fibers will lay down over top of your joint in a cluttered, messy and jumbled up way.

Imagine throwing a bunch of drinking straws in the air... When those straws hit the ground they'll land in a random, unorganized way. It even seems silly to think that those straws could land perfectly straight and in all the same direction.

Using conservative treatment methods like Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) will help to soften scar tissue and bringe more blood flow to allow your body to convert this scar tissue into normal, healthy tissue much more quickly. Stretching also helps to organize scar tissue, increasing the strength of this tissue so it's more like the weave of a basket. Using conservative treatment methods and stretching regularly are both key parts of your recovery and your physical therapy after surgery.

Safe, Effective Conservative Treatment Options are Available

If you are not at the surgery stage and your physician has opted to treat your injury with conservative treatment options, then you will find that many of our frozen shoulder customers have had great success treating themselves with the powerful conservative treatment products we offer through AidMyFrozenShoulder - the Shoulder ColdCure Wrap® and the Shoulder BFST Wrap®. When used as directed, it is our opinion that the ColdCure Wrap® and BFST Wrap® will give you the best chance of healing your frozen shoulder without the need for surgery.

If surgical intervention is required, talk with your doctor about using these same products for post-surgery recovery as you will find them to be highly effective for reducing post-surgery inflammation, enhancing range of motion and minimizing scar tissue growth (which is a substantial problem in nearly any case of shoulder surgery).

If Surgery is Required...

The type of surgery you will have depends on how severe your frozen shoulder injury is. How dedicated you were to conservative treatment options will also be a factor that determines what type of surgery is needed.

What stage is your frozen shoulder injury in?
'Freezing', 'Frozen', or 'Thawing'?

Stage 1: "Freezing" Painful Phase

Shoulder Capsule

If you are in the "Freezing" or painful phase of your frozen shoulder injury, then you are experiencing a mild onset of pain and gradual loss of your range of motion. You may feel a lot of tenderness and inflammation in your shoulder joint. More pain will also be experienced when sleeping at night, especially if you lay on the affected shoulder. This stage can last 1 - 9 months. Only about 3% of medical professionals will recommend surgery during this phase of frozen shoulder. (reference: 1)

It is believed by most doctors that conservative treatment methods are best to deal with the symptoms and progression of frozen shoulder at this stage. Using the correct conservative treatment therapies on a consistent basis (daily) can help to reduce how long you will suffer from this condition.

Stage 2: "Frozen" Stiff and Adhesive Phase

Shoulder Capsule

Pain will start to ease over time as inflammation and swelling decrease. Scar tissue that has formed over the shoulder joint capsule will begin to harder, decreasing your range of motion and clogging up your shoulder joint. You will have approx 50% less movement in your shoulder and this phase can last between 4 - 12 months. At this point, surgery is considered more often if conservative treatment methods have been used for over 6 months with little to no positive results.

Approx 47% of medical professionals will recommend surgical treatment during this and the 3rd stage ("thawing" phase) of frozen shoulder. (reference: 1)

Stage 3: "Thawing" Recovery Phase

Pain will continue to decrease as the scar tissue in your shoulder begins to loosen up. Slowly your stiffness will disappear as you regain full range of motion in your shoulder. This phase happens very slowly, and can last anywhere between 5 months to 3 years.

If your doctor has decided that you need surgery to help your shoulder to heal, then he may present 3 options to you: Manipulation under Anesthesia, Arthroscopic Capsular Release or Open Capsular Release.

As with any surgery there are risks to every procedure depending on a lot of factors, including your age, the severity of your injury and your level of health going into the procedure. It is always best to discuss all possible risks and complications with your doctor, orthopaedic specialist and/or surgeon before the procedure.

It's important to be aware of the risks you may face with any procedure intended to break up scar tissue in your shoulder.

Manipulation Under Anesthesia

Manipulation is an aggressive approach that involves stretching the shoulder while you're under general anaesthetia. You get put to sleep during this procedure as the process of forcing your shoulder through the movements (past your point of comfort) can be quite painful. This procedure is basically meant to tear and rip up the scar tissue in your joint to force a new healing cycle for new swelling, inflammation and tissue repair. The hope is that this procedure will get the range of motion back in your shoulder.

Shoulder Capsule

In order to make sure your frozen shoulder injury doesn't come back, you'll have to go to physical therapy afterwards to maintain shoulder mobility. You probably won't notice an immediate difference or change in your range of motion. Many patients have to wait a few weeks to regain their range of motion after this procedure - a recovery process that requires physical therapy and conservative treatment methods. (reference: 1)

The doctor will probably suggest this procedure when you're in the 'frozen' stage of your injury. Usually it's done at a time when your pain has decresed but you've reached the point where you have the most limtied range of motion since your injury started. This type of procedure is usually done for those suffering from frozen shoulder without any other injury or condition - that includes other shoulder soft tissue injuries (ie. rotator cuff tear, impingement syndrome) or diabetes. Those who are diabetics usually end up having their shoulder refreeze on them 2 to 3 weeks after a manipulation procedure. (reference: 1)

Shoulder Capsule

After the procedure is done you may be injected with a local anesthetic to help you deal with the pain. Sometimes this process is also combined with a steroid injection into the shoulder and once completed. Manipulation can be very effective but in many cases it can create more injuries and make your shoulder even worse. Other injuries - like bone fractures, dislocation of the shoulder joint, and rotator cuff tears - have been known to happen from manipulation.

Arhtroscopic or Open Capsular Release

Shoulder Capsule

The lining of the shoulder joint is know as a "capsule". This capsule is normally very elastic and flexible, allowing the shoulder to maintain a large range of motion. In the case of frozen shoulder, this capsule loses its elasticity through inflammation or damage / tearing to the surrounding ligaments. When this happens you lose range of motion and experience a great deal of pain in the area.

An arthroscopic or open capsular release surgery will remove scar tissue within the shoulder capsule. Once this tissue is removed, the capsule will hopefully be more flexible allowing you to regain mobility in the shoulder joint. The success rate for capsular release surgery is over 95%, though in some cases, more surgical intervention may be required for scar tissue removal, especially if you have undergone open surgery vs arthroscopic.

Shoulder Capsule

The capsular release surgical technique can be completed through Arthroscopic surgery, Open surgery or a combination of both procedures. With most frozen shoulder injuries, arthroscopic surgery is the preferred procedure because it's minimally invasive and patients usually recover at a much faster rate. This type of surgery will provide the surgeon with first hand insight into the nature of the injury and possibly limit the amount of shoulder damage from surgery - helping to promote a more effective recovery. Some cases however, will require open surgery as the scope of arthroscopic surgery is limited in comparison to full exposure of the shoulder capsule in open surgery. If you undergo an open surgery for your frozen shoulder, you should expect a longer time for rehabilitation efforts.

Stability of your Shoulder after Surgery

You may have to wear a sling for 1 week after frozen shoulder surgery.

During the first 24 to 72 hours after the surgery your shoulder will be tender, swollen and very painful. Your shoulder may be weak and unstable, and depending on your procedure, you may have to wear an arm sling for at least 1 week. The most important aspect of frozen shoulder surgery is the rehabilitation afterwards, because those who don't stretch and use conservative treatment methods usually have their frozen shoulder injury come back within a few weeks.

There is always a possibility of re-injuring your shoulder even after a surgical procedure has been done.

Ask any doctor and they'll tell you that the success of your surgery depends on your level of dedication to regular at home care of your shoulder. Most of our frozen shoulder post-op clients have treated themselves successfully through regular use of the Shoulder ColdCure Wrap® and BFST Wrap®.

Using these therapies will lessen the chance and/or severity of shoulder joint degeneration and surrounding muscular atrophy during your rehabilitation process. In some cases our customers have prevented the onset of degeneration through regular use of these treatments. They will even combine these therapeutic treatments with the rehabilitation plan recommended by their doctor, surgeon or physical therapist.

Getting Started with Your Post-Operative Rehabilitation

Rehabilitation will involve stretching to maintain range of motion with conservative treatments.

If you've had surgery on your frozen shoulder then your doctor will quickly get you on the path to rehabilitation. The aggressiveness of your rehabilitation efforts and your injury's ability to heal will depend on a variety of factors including (but not limited to):

  • your age, overall health, and activity level
  • the state of your frozen shoulder injury before surgery... A massive build up of scar tissue will mean more tissue damage after surgery and also requre more rehabilitation.
  • the type of surgery you had
  • how soon you need to return to normal activity

Know that no 2 rehabilitation plans are alike - The less invasive your surgery is, the quicker your road to recovery will be.

The goal of a rehabilitation plan is to manage pain and swelling while improving function, strength, and range of motion. Ultimately at the end of your recovery you'll regain strength and return to full activity. In order to achieve this you'll most likely spend a lot of time with a physical therapist after your surgery, but as your healing progresses, emphasis will be placed on your conservative treatments at home.

The success of your rehabilitation will depend on your dedication to working with your physical therapist while also managing your recovery on a daily basis at home.

It's important to work with your doctor after surgery for rehabilitation.

No matter what type of surgery you've had (or even if you don't need surgery) your home therapy routine can be improved by controlling initial and on-going pain/swelling, increasing blood flow to heal your shoulder injury, and incorporating daily stretches to increase range of motion so that you can achieve long-term, positive results.

All of this can easily be done by incorporating a Shoulder ColdCure Wrap® and BFST Wrap® into your rehabilitation routine. Regular treatment with a ColdCure Wrap® and BFST Wrap® will decrease your time spent in recovery.

Your Post-op Recovery Time can be Reduced...

effective blood flow stimulator shoulder treatment

With the use of a Shoulder Cold Compression ColdCure Wrap® and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy with a Shoulder BFST Wrap® following surgery.

Cold compression is recommended by doctors following surgery to treat your pain in a natural, non-addictive way and to reduce swelling. It's hard to find the most effective from of Cold Compression. Ice and sub-par wraps warm up too quickly or numb your skin beyond feeling - causing even more damage in your already-damaged joint! Effective Cold Compression can only be achieved with regular use of a Shoulder ColdCure Wrap®.

After the incision site has healed (if there is one), speak with your doctor about using our Shoulder BFST Wrap® to get Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy. Using our Shoulder BFST Wrap® as soon as you can following your surgery will minimize additional scar tissue growth around your shoulder joint capsule that will form as you heal. Treating scar tissue is the most important step following surgery, especially in a joint to improve its range of motion.

Get a superior level of blood flow circulation with a BFST Wrap.

Leaving the scar tissue untreated can lead to stiffness, chronic pain, osteoarthritis or other chronic conditions. You'll also probably end up with a frozen shoulder injury again in a matter of weeks. BFST® encourages more oxygen and nutrients to flow to the area to speed healing and improve the strength of the soft tissue in your joint.

As you maintain healthy blood flow circulation in your shoulder it's also important to keep moving. If you stop moving your joint will stiffen up and surrounding muscle and soft tissue will begin to atrophy (waste away). You can strengthen your shoulder joint through stretching and exercise with a physical therapist.

Only AidMyFrozenShoulder offers a 2-Step Recovery Process that gets you on your feet faster, speeding up your overall healing with long-lasting, sustainable results.

Pre-Surgical and Post-Surgical Treatments

Step 1 - Reduce Pain & Swelling with the Shoulder ColdCure Wrap®

The 1st step for conservative treatment of your frozen shoulder before and after surgery is to reduce swelling to "open up" the area for more blood flow. Anyone in the health-care business knows that your blood supplies the oxygen and much needed nutrients required for your body to heal naturally after surgery. This is why doctors and surgeons recommend cold compression therapy within the first 72 hours of an injury and following frozen shoulder surgery.

Reduce pain and swelling after shoulder surgery with a Coldcure Wrap

Cold compression therapy is recommended to reduce pain, swelling and tissue damage. Many doctors, surgeons and physical therapists consider cold compression therapy to be the gold standard for treatment of inflammation and pain. On-going cold compression treatments can reduce, or even eliminate, the need for NSAIDs or other medications that can be harmful to your body.

Cold compression therapy is known and trusted by most medical professionals. This is why for years doctors, trainers and other medical professionals have recommended RICE (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation) to treat the pain and swelling of fresh injuries, chronic pain, after any re-injury, and especially after surgery.

Although RICE can help to treat these symptoms, ice and inferior gel packs reach temperatures so low they can cause cryoburn, an ice burn on your skin. The problem is, up until now there hasn't been any other option to treat painful conditions and injuries with effective cold compression, so ice and blue gel packs (full of anti-freeze and chemicals) have been the only choice up until now.

Fortunately you no longer have to settle for these ice cold methods that are uncomfortably cold against your skin, provide short term relief, cause ice burns, and numb your skin and underlying tissue beyond feeling so you don't even notice the ice burn until it's too late. You can also get rid of those cold packs that warm up soon after you pull them out of the freezer and gel that pools around your injury putting the short-term cold everywhere expect for where you need it most - on your shoulder injury!

The ColdCure Wrap® is the cold compression tool you need for your post-surgical recovery to treat yourself in an effective and convenient way.

When used on a frozen shoulder injury after surgery, our ColdCure Wraps® provide:

  • The highest-level of cold compression to quickly decrease pain, swelling, inflammation and draw the heat out of your shoulder.
  • Tailored wraps that are available to conform around and treat your entire shoulder joint.
  • Effective cold compression that is unlike any other cold compression wrap out there.
  • Cold temperatures that stay right over your shoulder for the entire length of your treatment.
  • A home-based solution with consistent (daily) cold treatments that reduces swelling fast, decreases tissue damage after surgery, and opens up your shoulder to receive the blood flow circulation needed to heal quickly and naturally.
  • Heavier, more substantial gel packs containing a special formulation of gel - called RigiGel®.

What's RigiGel®?

RigiGel® is our trademarked name for a unique gel formula that's made of food-grade, non-toxic material that holds the cold for an extended period of time. This specially formulated gel also features non-migrating gel technology that makes our line of ColdCure Wraps® truly different from any other wrap available on the market.

RigiGel's unique gel formula offers non-migrating gel that stays put over your bursa injury.

RigiGel® is a patented formula that gives you:

  • More cooling power per pound than standard cold compression wraps.
  • More gel than other wraps, meaning every time you put one on it will keep your shoulder cold for a longer period; pain relief is enhanced and swelling is better controlled.

Our special RigiGel® packs can be chilled in the fridge or freezer to tailor the amount of cold that you need for your injury. It doesn't matter how you cool it down, because our gel packs are chock full of gel that's designed to cool down into millions of tiny snowflakes. This method of cooling means our gel packs aren't icy-cold, just perfectly cold enough to give you the most effective cold compression available.

The cushioned gel will wrap around your shoulder and it won't budge for the entire treatment period. You'll no longer have to deal with annoying pooling around your shoulder or have to hold a hard block of ice on your injury!

Effective Cold Compression Therapy slows nerve and cell function - reducing the swelling that blocks blood vessels from doing their job.

Treat yourself with effective cold compression to reduce pain and swelling after frozen shoulder surgery.

This is important because once blood vessels are blocked or damaged, they can no longer carry oxygenated blood through the tissue and tissue cells begin to break-down. Without cold compression therapy cellular break-down and tissue damage continues as the cells don't get the oxygen they need to survive. By limiting the amount of damage done to your shoulder joint capsule after surgery, you also limit the amount of healing that needs to occur. This is a very important step to heal frozen shoulder injuries faster and with less pain after surgery! This is why you need to treat your shoulder after surgery, when you notice pain / swelling / inflammation, or directly after a re-injury. Applying a ColdCure Wrap® right away will stop the damage immediately and unblock your blood vessels to let your body's natural blood flow in to start healing the tissue.

The ColdCure Wrap® = Effecive Cold Compression Therapy

It'll seem weird for you to read this, but there are a LOT of people out there that don't understand how fast cold compression with a Shoulder ColdCure Wrap® can get the swelling / inflammation in your joint under control! After you get rid of the swelling for good you can start actually dealing with your frozen shoulder injury and the healing needed after surgery.

Use A Cold Compression Shoulder ColdCure Wrap®:

  • 24 to 72 hours after your initial injury or when you first notice pain and swelling in or around your injured shoulder to stop cellular damage, relieve pain, and decrease swelling.
  • After exercise, workouts or activity of any kind to prevent re-injury.
  • Before and after surgery during rehabilitation to control pre and post-surgery pain and swelling.
  • Anytime you feel your shoulder is tender, painful or you're having a flare-up of an old frozen shoulder injury.
  • Anytime you have swelling, sharp throbbing pain or inflammation.
  • Any other situation where you need to draw the pain and inflammation out of your shoulder.

Step 2 - Improve Circulation & Prevent Re-Injury with Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy
Increase blood flow to speed up healing of your frozen shoulder during surgery recovery.

There are a lot of people that think their frozen shoulder is gone after their swelling and inflammation are gone and their joint feels better. They also make the mistake of returning to regular activities too soon without proper time for healing. The truth is that healing takes time and after the swelling is gone your frozen shoulder injury isn't even close to being fully healed.

After the inflammation in and around your shoulder has been reduced, providing extra blood flow and strengthening the tissue around your shoulder is recommended. Believe it or not, the best time for you to focus on avoiding re-injury and strengthening your weakened joint is when the swelling's gone and your injury's started to heal. It's vital that you don't go back to activities too soon because you might bring on a major set-back in your recovery...

  • Have you recently re-injured your shoulder by returning to your normal daily activities too quickly?
  • How many times in the past have you aggravated your frozen shoulder just trying to perform basic tasks around your house?
  • Is your shoulder injury preventing you from work or activities you love to do?

If this sounds like you - You're not alone...

Most people we deal with tell us these scenarios have happened to them many times in the past. The real challenge is how to promote blood flow to your injured shoulder without causing further injury. This goal is even more complicated by the fact that your shoulder is one of your most commonly used joints in everyday life.

Tendonitis, strained muscles, torn ligaments and overall joint pain can often occur at the same time - weakening not only your shoulder joint capsule, but also all of the soft tissue surrounding your shoulder in your weakened joint.

What can you do to actually start healing your frozen shoulder injury after surgery?

Increase blood flow to speed up healing of your shoulder during surgery recovery.

The answer is simple. Your body can heal itself and it's the blood in your body that makes it all happen. Your blood is how everything that's good inside of you is transported directly to your damaged tissue. Your blood carries oxygen, nutrients, water and antibodies right to the source of your injury and pain. Bringing proper blood flow to your shoulder is essential to healing.

Promoting blood flow around injured tissue to help the body heal itself is a concept that's been used for centuries. Oxygen and nutrients, carried in your own blood, are critical for the body to heal itself. Without proper blood flow, recovery from your frozen shoulder surgery will be delayed... Sometimes for a very long period of time.

Even though the concept is simple, improving blood flow to your shoulder can be difficult. When recovering from frozen shoulder surgery, the challenges are even greater because of the added risk of getting frozen shoulder again in a matter of weeks. Traditional methods require you to move your damaged tissue and sore/stiff joint in order to promote blood flow. Movement is critical for recovery from frozen shoulder surgery, but this same motion that promotes blood flow can also make your pain and injury much worse. Relying on movement alone to increase blood flow puts you in danger of re-injuring your shoulder. This is why blood flow should be increased before stretching and exercising your shoulder - to make the tissue more elastic and retain your range of motion.

This is where the BFST Wrap® and Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®) come in!

The BFST Wrap increases blood flow to speed up healing, soften scar tissue and prevent re-injury.

Using Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy (BFST®), will help with your recovery and heal your shoulder more completely. BFST® increases the amount of blood that flows naturally to your soft tissue to nourish your joint, improving elasticity and speeding the healing process. This increased Blood Flow Stimulation Therapy to your frozen shoulder is greatly needed to complete your healing and avoid re-injury once and for all.

The only way to get BFST® is through use of a Shoulder BFST Wrap®.

The BFST Wrap® is the only treatment method that improves blood flow and circulation on a deep tissue level. Other methods of warming / heating tissue (hot water bottles, hot baths, etc) will only ever increase blood flow on a surface / skin level. These methods need a LOT of time to even reach your shoulder on a deep tissue level. And even if you were to use them this long your skin would heat up to an uncomfortable level and may even burn you.

The best source of heat treatment is from a product where you don't even feel that much heat. When you don't feel the heat, it means the therapy is working in your deep soft tissue which is really where you need it. It's kind of like how your heart works in your body. You can't "feel" your heart pumping blood all around your body to your arms and legs. You can't even hear your own heartbeat without listening very closely. This is exactly how deep tissue BFST® works too!

You're not supposed to "feel" a lot of heat because the heat isn't treating your skin, it's treating the scar tissue surrounding your shoulder joint capsule, increasing the blood flow right where your injury is!

Increase blood flow to speed up healing of your frozen shoulder after surgery.
  • When treating frozen shoulder or any soft tissue injury, an effective therapy will increase blood flow to the injury while the joint is immobile.
  • This increase in blood flow will accelerate the body's own ability to heal itself.
  • The BFST Wrap® is the most highly effective blood flow stimulation device that you'll find on the market that is approved by the FDA for use in the home or hospital.

Regular treatments with a Shoulder BFST Wrap® can reduce pain and stiffness from scar tissue and increase overall flexibility in your joint. Increased blood flow will whisk away damaged tissue, toxins, and any bacteria in or around your injured shoulder to promote more effective healing. Getting rid of toxins will allow all of the positive healing processes to start in your injury. Increasing blood flow will also increase the amount of oxygen that's being sent to your injured tissue AND boost your tissue's ability to absorb oxygen. (reference: 1)

How Does the BFST Wrap® Promote BFST®?

Electromagnetic energy increases blood flow on a deep tissue level.

Every Shoulder BFST Wrap® contains a patented Energy Web® that's flexible and shaped to conform around your shoulder. The Energy Web® provides a uniform wave of healing electromagnetic energy over the entire treatment area. This energy travels deep inside your soft tissue to stimulate blood flow on the deep tissue level where it's needed to heal your injury. It's the electromagnetic energy provided by our Shoulder BFST Wrap® that's crucial to the healing process.

Electromagnetic energy is the only way to get your blood flow moving on a deep tissue level for these reasons:

  • Electromagnetic energy waves are not heat waves.

  • When emitted from the BFST Wrap®, electromagnetic energy waves penetrate right through your skin and fat layers until they get to your damaged tissue.
  • Once these energy waves reach the damaged tissue in your shoulder, they're absorbed and quickly converted into heat energy right at the location of your injury
  • The idea of electromagnetic energy waves is slowly catching on in North American, but the truth is, it's a technology that's been used for decades
Electromagnetic energy has been studied by researchers for decades.

Many people just don't know that over the past 30 years, researchers in Japan and China have completed extensive studies on the use of electromagnetic energy for healing and their findings have been impressive. Success has been reported in studies from countries like Sweden and Germany. Research is continuing and soon, much of North American will know what the Far East and Europe has known for a long time...

Electromagnetic energy provides a wide range of health benefits for those not only suffering from frozen shoulder, but for many other soft tissue injuries as well.

Regular treatment with the electromagnetic energy in our Shoulder BFST Wrap® will ensure:

  • Your pain will be reduced.
  • Your shoulder will heal at an accelerated rate with reduced potential for re-injury.
  • Your shoulder will have a larger range of motion and increased extensibility of collagen tissue. (Chapter 9 of "Therapeutic Heat and Cold", 4th edition. (amazon.com link - Ed. Justus F. Lehmann, M.D., Williams, and Wilkin)

Electromagnetic Energy = Increased Blood Flow = More Oxygen, More Nutrients and Less Toxins = Faster Healing

Get a superior level of blood flow circulation with a BFST Inferno Wrap.

Our BFST Wraps® are uniquely patented designs that are better than other alternatives out there for more than just the electromagnetic energy they provide! Our wraps are made from medical-grade material - this should be as important to you as it is to us. Other products that are sold in stores are considered "consumer goods" meaning the material only needs to be as good as a sweater that you wear. Clothing articles like this don't need to meet high standards of production or materials and may include materials that irritate your skin.

Since our wraps are medical-grade products registered with the FDA, they are of a higher quality and need to meet way more standards for manufacturing (ISO 10993 - biocompatibility testing). This makes our wraps the safest product to increase blood flow circulation.

Our manufacturer has spent years perfecting the wrap design to make sure you get the treatment you deserve!

Use a BFST® Shoulder BFST Wrap®:

  • After swelling and inflammation have been reduced with cold compression.
  • Before exercise or workouts to warm up your shoulder to prevent re-injury.
  • Before and after surgery during rehabilitation to warm up your shoulder before physical therapy exercising or stretching.
  • Anytime you feel your joint has stiffened up, is tight and your mobility is reduced causing you more pain.
  • Anytime you have sore or aching tissue in and around your shoulder.
  • Any other situation where you need to increase blood flow to your shoulder to relax your soft tissue, relieve pain, prevent re-injury and enhance flexibility of your tissue.

Dealing with Scar Tissue After Shoulder Surgery

How Scar Tissue Affects Your Rehabilitation

Scar tissue will be problematic after frozen shoulder surgery.

Scar tissue is something that will be present in your shoulder before and after surgery. The growth of scar tissue is ultimately what causes the stiffening in your shoulder, that restricts your movement and flexibility while you're suffering with frozen shoulder. Scar tissue is something that cannot be avoided during surgery. Your surgeron will determing if the anticipated outcome from surgery will be successful, despite the build-up of scar tissue that you will develop as a result of the surgery. Overall, the surgeon may be able to remove a lot of the initial build-up of scar tissue around the shoulder joint and in doing so, view a positive outcome from the surgery.

Unfortunately, scar tissue may plague you for weeks, months and maybe even years after your surgery, depending on your level of activity and the amount of conservative treatments you have done during your rehabilition. Scar tissue is a major problem, especially when it comes to re-injury of your frozen shoulder. When dealing with scar tissue it is always important to:

  • listen well to your doctor and if conservative treatments are recommended, remember to stick to your (daily) treatment plan using these therapies, to avoid further surgery or avoid surgery altogether!
  • if surgery cannot be avoided, know that frequent use of the Shoulder ColdCure Wrap® after your surgery will get the swelling down very fast. Much of the pain you feel will be from the swelling, and you will be surprised how quick the pain drops off once the swelling is down. Usage of the Shoulder ColdCure Wrap® is also recommended as a conservative treatment option to increase your chances of avoiding surgery.
  • the Shoulder BFST Wrap® is a safe, electromagnetic energy device that will help reduce scar tissue and increase blood flow to the area (thereby accelerating the body's own healing process). Treating your shoulder with this device after surgery is probably the most effective home based treatment to accelerating your shoulder's recovery from surgery. Usage of the Shoulder BFST Wrap® is a highly effective conservative treatment option to increase your chances of avoiding surgery as well.
  • when applied before stretching, the Shoulder BFST Wrap® will help the connective tissue in your shoulder joint elongate, and stay elongated. This means that it helps improve your range of motion which is exactly what you want when trying to recover from a frozen shoulder.

Therapist Using BFST and ColdCure for Their Shoulder

The first time I used the shoulder BFST wrap and the Coldcure wrap was to treat a rotator cuff injury I sustained from over use and aging. I was in my early 60's and an avid tennis player, kayaker, skier, hiker and biker for most of my life.

Doctors were recommending surgery but I opted for physical therapy. This helped but did not give me the relief I needed to continue with all of my athletic activities. Then I started using your product. After activities where I used my shoulder, even weight training, I used the Coldcure wrap followed by the BFST wrap. Then I used the BFST wrap periodically throughout the day while at work.

I'm a therapist and my clients were OK with me wearing the wrap during sessions if I felt the need to. I experienced the ability to use my shoulder and be completely pain free. I was thrilled. Then at age 65 I began to have achilles tendon inflammation which became extremely painful. Doctors explained to me that as we age tendons lose flexibility and are more prone to injury. I bought that explanation to a point but again tried physical therapy, prolonged stretching, Ibuprofen and rest. I had relief if I used large regular doses of anti-inflamatory medications but was concerned about the long term negative affects of the meds.

I purchased the Ankle BFST and Coldcure wrap and began the same routine I had used with my rotator cuff injury. I'm happy to say the results were the same! Even this aging body was able to repair and stretch my achilles tendon with exercise and the cold and warm treatments from your products.

Now I am still playing tennis and doing all of my other activities and I remain pain free. After athletics I use the Coldcure wrap followed by the BFST wrap. Also, before I play racket sports or hike I use the BFST wrap on my ankle and follow with gentle stretching. When I get home I use the Coldcure wrap. Who knows how long I will be able to continue my active life style. But right now I know that these products are enabling me to be an active, vibrant, aging woman who can (almost) keep up with my kids. I should add that I also maintain a healthy weight, train with weights, exercise every day and eat a plant based diet with lean protein. Even my healthy lifestyle wasn't enough to prevent these nagging injuries that become more prevalent as we age. So....thanks for making a great product ...... and my life more manageable.

Are You Dealing with Rehabilitation After Frozen Shoulder Surgery?

We Have Answers that can Help...

Most cases of frozen shoulder will respond well to conservative treatments (if caught early), however, surgery will be needed in some cases where total mobility has been lost. Undergoing frozen shoulder surgery, whether you have manual manipulation of your shoulder or an arthroscopic vs open capsular release, can be a scary and challenging time for most.

The Internet and many medical professionals available to you (your surgeon, orthopaedic specialist and/or physical therapist) will provide a wealth of information and details on the surgery itself, but it can be a challange to fully understand the medical terminology used, how your body reacts to the surgery and what comprehensive rehabilitation plan will get your body healed as soon as possible.

Surgery in itself is not the end of the journey, it is merely
the beginning of a new chapter. Your rehabilitation efforts will have an important impact on how soon you can return to living and enjoying your normal daily life.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have purchased several pieces from your shop (Tortoise Shellz Full Body Therapy Pad along with two Wrist Inferno Wraps) and we are very happy with all of them. In fact, I don't know what we would do without them, as all the injuries are improving gradually. Thank you for these wonderful products, and thank you, too, for the personal attention to your customers. A rarity, in today's world!

Dear MendMeShop,

I am most satisfied with the products that I purchased. It is clearly high quality and I am positive it will heal my knee in the long run. I am really looking forward to getting my knee sorted out permanently. I did have a knee operation about two years ago but there were no time to give it a decent recovery time. Unfortunately as a mechanic working on the power plant here in Salerno, we work on gravel surfaces 24/7 for 85 days before returning home for a 3 week vacation. At the age of 53 it becomes real stress full and I also had to put away my running shoes, which was also a blow to me. I am very confident that your products will get me back on the road again and I would love to do the Comrades ultra marathon in South Africa for the third time.

Dear MendMeShop,

The Freezie Wrap for the shoulder is miles above using regular ice bags. Shoulder injuries are a tough nut and take weeks if not months to heal. The wrap has already been money well spent.

Dear MendMeShop,

Thank you!!! So far it's helping. My daughter is a pitcher and has been having treatment on her forearm. We are trying to get her well before the season begins at school. It is always a pleasure doing business with a company who genuinely cares about the quality of it's product, it's effectiveness and customer service. Please don't change a thing about how you do business there are not enough companies like yours in that respect! My family has owned small businesses through out the years and quality of work/product, customer service, satisfaction and respect were always our main concerns too! Angela

Dear MendMeShop,

I am out there shooting the best scores of the season. I hurt my wrist, put you wrist Inferno wrap and the next marking period, 2 weeks, I was back to a 6 handicapper vs the 9 handicapper I was when I was hurt. I lent it to my director of golf that jammed his wrist. He was in serious pain. I gave him my wrist Inferno and in one day he was back to being a scratch golfer. It's the best therapy and the only one I WILL use from now on. I also have the shoulder Inferno. I had issues and guess what? No more issues! No surgery that was recommended to me because of you guys, period, like we say in NY. Awesome product thank you.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have been using the Freeze Wraps to reduce the inflammation, for which they worked great. Last week was the first time I tried the Infernowrap on my right knee and it seems to help just from one treatment. I plan to use it every night when I get back from work. I used the knee Inferno wrap again last night and put it on the medium power and it's helping tremendously. I'm able to bend my knee better and walk with more stability without leaning too much on my left knee to compensate for the injured knee.

Dear MendMeShop,

I am elated with the Shoulder Inferno and Freezie Wraps. I purchased. My shoulder is regaining strength, albeit slowly. Until I found your products I was in tremendous throbbing pain from a rotator cuff injury. For three months I used Chiropractors and exercise bands to no avail. The terrible throbbing has subsided and I am once again able to throw the ball with my two German Pointers! If I over do activity, the freeze wrap helps to calm the shoulder down. An hour after that I do the Inferno Wrap.

I have been using the Inferno & Freezie Wraps since November,2012. I saw an orthopedic doctor after Thanksgiving and have been going to occupational therapy (3) days per week. I was told by my ortho doctor to continue to use the items that I had purchased from you (I brought them in on my initial visit with him). I am currently using the inferno wrap as soon as I wake up in the morning, then continue to do my daily wrist and arm exercises. I use the freezie wrap when I am finished. While working I use a tennis elbow brace and I am also using it while doing housework or other chores where I am using my arm alot. My arm is improving slowly as I am working (4) days a week as a chef for 12-14 hours per day. My ortho doctor told me that it would take some time to heal completely. I don't see him until the end of February (3 months since initial visit). So far I am seeing improvement in both pain management and flexibility. I believe the combination of therapy sessions and the use of your wrap treatments are the key to a successful treatment plan. I'll keep you informed of my progress. Thanks again for your help and guidance.

Just want to let you know that I've had a chance to use the Freeze Wrap. I fell down on my tail bone and injured it slightly. I put the Freeze Wrap on my behind every night while watching TV, and it seems to help it a lot. I alternate between the 2 ice packs, keeping one in the freezer at all times. Thought you might be interested in this for the follow-up of your products. Will recommend your products highly to anyone interested. Sincerely, Irene

Dear MendMeShop,

First I have a bad knee with arthritis and loss of cartilage. Over a year ago I was advised by my doctor to get a knee replacement. I am 70 years old using a arthritis drug, it is not effective as it once was, so I have been getting special shots in my knee, This combination brought my pain level down quite a bit. But I was looking for more because I didn’t want a knee replacement yet. I found you add on the internet for the Freezie and Inferno Wraps. I bought both. When my knee swells from too much activity I use freeze to help bring down the swelling. The freeze really works great and relieves the pain. On a Daily basis when I get up, I use the Inferno Wrap and I immediately can become active for most normal activities for the day without pain, unless I overdo then I do the Freezie. I also use the heat at night when I go to bed which relieves any pain I might have then. I have since bought an Inferno knee wrap for my wife and she says it is the best thing she has ever used to comfort her bad knees. Both her knees are bad with arthritis, and she is wanting another one so she can do both knees at the same time. I also have a lower back that for years was either causing spasms in either side when I would overdo activities, I bought the back Inferno after having such great success with it, each morning I lay it on the bed and lie on it for 20 min before I start my Daily activities. As long as I do this every day I have not had back problems. If I go for a few days without it, my back will start to tighten up again. I then lie on it for relief. One time my back went out completely when not using it and instead of the 2 weeks to get back in shape it only took a few days while using the Inferno. I now use it every morning and night and my back has not went out for some time. My only concern is now my wife is using it so we have to fight for it. Soon we will have to get her one. I am very active in sports and daily activities that require lot of stress on body parts, and as you get older, these body parts don’t work as good as they used to and causes pain. So any help I can get I will go for it. I have also used these wraps on leg muscle cramps for very fast relief and for stiff necks. Anywhere I get a pain I try to wrap one of these Inferno Wrap around it for relief. Great Product!

Dear MendMeShop,

The Shoulder Inferno wrap is working well for my shoulder bursitis. I went to my primary care doctor this week, and she was very interested in the treatments and the success - when little else was working in the last 5 months. My shoulder pain has gone away completely, and so I am obviously very pleased with the results.

Dear MendMeShop,

I have to admit, I fully expected to be returning my order. (inferno wrap, freezie wrap) I told my wife "this is a lot of money and if doesn't work I'm sending it back", "I've got 60 days". Well after about 9 days of (2) treatments per day my severe case of Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow) is almost pain free. I tried wearing the over the counter tendon support brace with absolutely no results. My elbow pain was so bad I couldn't sleep at night and just knew I was going to have to see a doctor. Then I found your website. I was very impressed with the quality of your wraps, very thick and made form high quality materials. I guess the old adage "you get what you pay for" speaks volumes here. I'm completely sold on your products and won't be returning anything!!! Thank you for helping heal my tennis elbow and I've already told many of my friends about your web site. 100% satisfied Cameron Caldwell from Meriden, KS.
